If someone wants to make a move up to 1.01 I will look at all offers won't be countering If I see something that I can't say no to the pick could be yours. If not my pick will be in before the start. Good luck guys.

The NFL Round 1 landing spot for a certain player has probably altered our draft plan. đ
We will take a bit of time to re-shuffle our draft board.

No trades? The 1.03 was mine to begin with, I think. I ended up with it but f**k me if I know how. I think all the top first round picks got traded multiple times. Lol.
Fn Steve. I really wanted MHJ ya prick!

Well, thanks to some faith in my trade partners I was able to gamble, trade down and get the QB I was dreaming about for nearly 2 years now. I know Caleb is a bit of a whackadoo but he's the closest thing I've seen college football produce to Pat Mahomes since every kid started try and mimick his style of play.
Going into the season with Danny Jones as my QB 1 was less than ideal....

Make sure you stock up a lot of nail polish and dresses.

Never thought I would draft a 165 lb. WR. But when you run 4.21 and play with Patrick Mahomes look out. I for the first time may actually have drafted a good WR.

The 165 lb part is so weird to me. I keep waiting for one of these tiny dudes to get broke in half. I guess they develop survival instincts along the way but I can't bring myself to completely embrace the reality yet.

đCleatus - was going to throw a 165 pound dart at that motherf*cker ! Curious to see what Bowers does. When you have âgenerational talentâ in your bio the pressure is on. Should be fun to watch. Minshew/OConnor does not help but Chris couldnât pass that guy up. Most of us wouldnât either. Reminds me of when Sudsy drafted Aaron Donald and said he didnât have to worry about that position for the next 10 years

Like everyone else, we were mostly interested in MHJ. But didnât see a way to land him without paying a significant price.
So we then moved to trying to figure out a way to land one of the other of the top 3 WRs and Bowers at TE (the only position where we lack depth on O). Bowers landing in LV had us re-considering that plan for a bit. Ultimately trading into 1.02 and 1.04 gave us the opportunity we wanted.
Then, we almost took Nabers at 1.02, who was our preferred WR. Figured TTAC might then take Bowers and we would land 2 of the WRs. But again, TE is the bigger need for us.
Ultimately we settled on taking Bowers and best WR available at 1.04, who of course ended up being Odunze. We donât need WR help immediately *knock on wood* but we hope both will be contributors for us next year and beyond.
Looking ahead, the well of O players in this class appears as though it will dry up after about 20 picks or soâŚ

Best time to draft a QB is when you don't need one. I didn't want to spend the draft capital in this spot with my QB depth but I feel I can get the Flex help I'm looking for later with 1.12 in my back pocket.

We were targeting Daniels if you didn't take him Stryker. Brooks was our backup plan, mostly because we actually expected you to pick him to add a young likely starter at RB to your corps.

RE: Brooks who the heck knows. The injury sets him back and also meant testing numbers were not recorded. Speed Score therefore, is not official. BackCAST isn't necessarily valid. But his numbers through 10 games were eerily similar to Bijan from 2022 in the same offense, he was the unanimous RB1 in this class (for what that is worth) and Carolina has a need and did trade up for him in the 2nd.
Definitely a dart throw but we are pretty happy being able to add the top RB, top TE, and one of the big 3 WRs in this (admittedly weak) class to our roster.
The concern remains that we have a lot of really good young players... but are any of them elite FF scorers? If not, we will continue to have games where we just don't produce enough points to compete with the best teams, who have studs where we have "good" youth.

Need met availability. Maye probably has a higher ceiling than McCarthy, but also a lower floor. I went with the winner mentality.
