Discussion about deciding whether we want to make FA dollars transferrable (be able to trade them)?
If so we will need to craft a rule. Can they be traded for players and/or draft picks, or only players? Can we trade future FA dollars? Think of things that could go sideways so that we can try to make a rule as bulletproof as possible.
All thoughts are welcome, for or against.

I'm opposed to being able to trade FA cash. I've seen it tried and failed, although I can't recall exactly what happened (this was about 15 years ago).

Im in favor of it for the current year only, seems like trading future FA $ would be messy especially if someone does that and then leaves the league. And it can be for whatever you want, picks or players.
I cant believe people would be trading a lot of value for FA $. I mean it can only be used to pick up free agents which are available to everyone so im not sure how it could fail. Be curious what happened if you remember

I'm fine either way but do agree with Drake that it should be only current year and not future FA $

I know I've ran out of FA money plenty of times and had to sit out acquiring players later in the year. I also think it could add a strategy aspect. Definitely only for current year. We could try it for a year and see how it works. Some guys have solid teams and don't really require adding FAs. This would be a way for them to also capitalize on that fact. They could possibly acquire a handcuff without giving up a player or a pick.
I'm all for it. I think it's a current year situation and all players acquired in this way follow the same rules already in place.

I agree with Drake
Fine with it if current season only
Not sure how offseason would work though?
I think it is rare that it is required TBH.
IMO Can circumvent our current limitation by just having some other team grab the FA you want and then trade for him
So I don’t see this as a necessity but don’t see it as something that would be a game-breaking change either

What are we now the NBA?
I don’t really care
What I see happening is people spending all their money in pre-season hoping to hit home run.
Then when they need a pickup do to injury/bye they trade for some money so they can do a quick FC/FS
But on other hand, since no one actually trades in this league, good luck.

I rarely use all my FA money but that could just be a "me" thing. I'm rather indifferent on it either way so I wouldn't oppose it if it were to come to a vote.

Don’t give a nuts but it looks like a rule change for TTAC to be even more of a not a very nice person owner to trade for FA$ after he fucked up everything else. That leads TTAC trading #1 rook pick for 5 FA dollars. f**k you Dave 😃
