MFL takes a large part of our Buy-In so I'd like to see if people are up for throwing in a little more to make the prize a little more substantial, but not crazy. Also could be up for adding a prize for Regular Season and/or Second place if there's enough interest in generating a little more cash.
I'm not interested in turning over the league for this, so if too many people say they'd leave we'd go maintain the status quo or up it to a number that keeps us static.

MFL is $60-$70 of our $240 pot each year. I am in favor of upping the pot though I do not have any issue with those are against it.

Further, I would support any amount from $20-$50.
Personally, I think $25 is the sweet spot.

Not a big fan of jumping up to $50. That said I’m open to an increase. Hard for me to vote in the poll above because I’m not definitively walking away if it jumps to $40 or $50, but I’m more in line with the earlier suggestion of going to $25 and revisiting increasing further in future years.

I vote for the $25 option, but Niall pays $50 to cover his team and my dues as well.

Another "back in the day" post from me. The only reason we had a fee at all in the beginning was to pay the MFL fee. The league winner got to pick the charity of their choice for whatever was left over after that. I would like to see us do it that way. It's not that I couldn't afford $50. I think having a cash prize is against the spirit of the league, which is about bragging rights in a really challenging format. I also think the fee inhibits recruiting replacement owners, which we have needed a lot of in the past few years.

I also think the fee inhibits recruiting replacement owners, which we have needed a lot of in the past few years. I've had the opposite reaction when recruiting replacement owners who think $10 is too small for all the work involved. I think if we all actually knew each other in real life (which i'm guessing most of the original league did), then I see what you're saying. I agree with Greeney above that $25 seems like the sweet spot. I would also still donate my winnings to charity as I did before, but I think it would be nice to make that a substantial donation.

Trades like the ones Charles just made is why I think the buy in should have a little teeth.
