So, our rules state that we can play a nickel defense (also known as a 4–2–5 or 3–3–5), which is any defensive alignment that uses five defensive backs. However, the details state that we can only use a 3-3-5 and not a 4-2-5.
It also states that we can use a dime defense (also known as a 4–1–6 or 3–2–6), which is any defensive alignment that uses six defensive backs. Our details do allow for both of those formations.
My question to those that have been around for a while, is the lack of listing a 4-2-5 an overthought or was it intentional? If the former, then I suggest that we add the 4-2-5 to the details of the league rules.
