The current FCFS rules have the FCFS window opening on Thursdays at 8pm. The Thursday night games start at 0830-ish. The current rule bans any Thursday night players from being added via FCFS in a given week. However, it seems like there has been near universal support for allowing Thursday night players to be added via FCFS as long as it happens before the 830pm kickoff and a corresponding drop (if necessary) is made at the same time.
I think it's a pretty obvious change, but I'd prefer to get at least 13 votes in favor. Please vote and please post any other feedback you have on the rule.

I'd love to move up the FCFS to 5pm.
An 8-8:20 window is a little tight.

I'd love to move up the FCFS to 5pm. An 8-8:20 window is a little tight. 5 pm is too early for those of us who may still be working at that time. If we had to move it 7 is better, but really I’m fine with the tight 8 pm window as is.

With regards to this, can we also extend the end time that you can pick someone up? Right now, you have to pick someone up by 1pm on Sunday, but you should be able to pick up someone that plays at 4:30, Sunday night or Monday night before their game starts but after 1pm on Sunday.

I agree, but the caveat is you can't make roster space with someone already locked. Exactly. I think the site already prevents you from being able to drop someone that has already played. For example, if you try to pick up someone on Sunday morning, you are unable to drop someone that already played on Thursday.

I have updated the FCFS rule language per the input in this thread. Old Rule "A First Come First Served FA Period period will open at 8:00PM ET every Thursday and close at Kickoff of the 1:00 PM ET Sunday NFL games. Players from the Thursday Night game are not eligible for FCFS Waivers. You are allowed ONLY 1 FCFS Waiver Acquisition each week. Decided Sept. 2012 ffwarroom.proboards.com/thread/2589/fcfs-waivers-new-rule-2012" New Rule "A First Come First Served FA Period period will open at 7:00PM ET every Thursday and close at the kickoff of any FA player's game that week or 8:30PM EST on Monday night of that week, whichever is earlier. Players from the Thursday Night game ARE not eligible for FCFS Waivers. You are allowed ONLY 1 FCFS Waiver Acquisition each week. Decided Sept. 2012 ffwarroom.proboards.com/thread/2589/fcfs-waivers-new-rule-2012. Updated Sept 2020 per ffwarroom.proboards.com/post/new/4144 discussion."

Should add this to the other thread if this is a final rule change. What do you mean? Just reference this thread in the other about IR? I did put link to this thread in the language of the rule change. rg
