Decided to plug all of the TOCOL rookie picks into the 2021 IDP Draft ANALyzer and see how we did. With no more ado, here you have it...
Best Draft Overall
1. HOP
Yeah, I cant believe this either. However, the ANALyzer actually thinks HoP drafted well. It's obviously broke as f*ck! In particular, HoP scored great value with Javonte Williams at 1.05 and with Tutu Atwell, who it apparently graded as worthy of a 2nd round pick, at 3.05. It also had Mac Jones as solid value at 2.05. Like I said, it's broke as f*ck.
2. Def
Well duh! It must have fixed itself here. It likes my pick of Etienne at 1.07 but dislikes Fields at 1.13. Well FU ANALyzer. Other picks were all well solidly received, especially Hunter Long in the fourth round and Payton Turner (Who TF is that?) in the 6th.
3. TTAC
Well nuts, this thing really is broke AF! It loved the Najee value at 1.03. The reality is that it basically considered every other pick he made to range from slightly poor to awful value, sans Asante Samuel in the 8th which was adequate. It especially disliked Zaven Collins in the 2nd and Cornell Powell at 3.12. Yeah this was a 2 player class.
Best Pick overall
1. Javonte Williams @1.05 by HoP
HoP again? FU!
2. Najee Harris @1.03 by TTAC
Followed by TTAC? I quit.
3. Kadarius Toney @2.01 by Yoda
Toney went to Florida. F him too.
Steal of the Draft (best value in rounds 7 or 8)
1. Kene Nwangwu by Yoda
Still need proof this thing is broken? How about it calling a KR/PR the best value in the draft? At least this league does actually give points for return statistics... well, I think it does? Given that I've personally never started a player who was strictly a return guy I really don't know. WTH was Minny doing drafting a return guy in round 4 anyway? Truthfully this pick is only considered a steal because the ANALyzer sees him as a RB selected in the NFL 4th round who lasted until round 7 of the TOCOL draft.
2. Tommy Tremble by HoP
LOL this ANALyzer definitely cannot distinguish between receiving TEs and blocking TEs. HAHAHAHAHAHA a blocking TE. That I KNOW we do not give points for.
3. Eric Stokes by Drinking Problem
He lasted until the 8th round. He played at UGA. Drinking Problem wins.
Best midround pick (best value in rounds 3-5)
1. Tutu Atwell by HoP
Apparently he should have gone late 2nd? Lasted until 3.05. He's 5'2 and he literally does not have biceps.
2. Tre' McKitty by Alcoholic Haze
Well, he sorta played at UGA. So we'll count it. Awesome pick!
3. Hunter Long by Defector
Apparently this thing has a hard on for bum TEs?
Overall Class Grades and Ranking
1. HoP (A)
Already been discussed ad nauseam (FYI TTAC, ad nauseam means so much that it is now annoying like you)
2. Defector (A-)
yay me
3. TTAC (B+)
shoot me now
4. Yoda (B)
Toney and a KR/PR were basically all of the value. I disagree with the ANALyzer that Chase was a reach at 1.01 as he is the best player in this class! Regardless, apparently the force was strong with this draft class (yeah that was lame)
5. GM (C+)
Despite no first round pick, did well. Rondale Moore was solid value at 2.07. Chuba Hubbard and Carlos Basham were nice values. No real reaches or missteps.
6. Plunge (C)
Elijah Moore, who Plunge would have taken in the late first without a trade back, should have gone in the late first so solid value there. Amari Rodgers went much earlier than he should have apparently. Otherwise all of the picks were pretty average.
7. New guy (C-)
How did the guy with no picks in rounds 1-3 out-draft half of you? Oh I see, he just made no good or bad picks. We already gave him the best roster when he joined. d**n! BB, I told you we should have kicked TTAC out and used his roster to balance this one in a crappy dispersal draft.
8. Drake (C-)
The ANALyzer hated Dyami Brown at 2.11 but at least found all of the rest of your picks both unexciting and inoffensive.
9. Gringo (D)
Well, the guy who sat on 3 RBs forever drafted some WRs. Too bad Schwartz was the only one considered strong value and he is a track guy not a WR (and we don't give points for 40 times nor 100 meter times). Moerhig and Monty Rice (Go Dawgs!) were nice value picks also.
10. Darky (D)
Is Darky now considered offensive? Will we all be canceled for calling him that? Yeah, this draft review is lame. Also, his class is apparently lame, perhaps even offensive. The ANALyzer hated Lance at 1.10 but it really liked Eskridge and McKitty at 2.10 and 5.10 respectively. The rest of the picks, eh, not so much.
11. Drinking Problem (D)
I have no idea what his name is? Stryker maybe? It hated the value of his first 3 picks on the offensive side of the ball by like -1,000 points. To put that in perspective, he could have gotten Trevor Lawrence in the 8th round and still been in the negative LOL. On a positive note, Parsons, Werner and Stokes were solid values. Maybe stick to drafting only defensive players brother.
12. BB (D-)
Solid commissioner, terrible drafter apparently. A pocket passer QB in a deep QB class at 1.08? Yeah, not gonna be a popular pick with the ANALyzer. Actually, the ONLY pick BB made that it did not completely dislike was undrafted RB Javian Hawkins in the 7th. Ouch!
13. De-Cleater (F+)
I get WHY you took Marshall over better WRs since he was reunited with Brady. Doesn't mean this tool and its algorithm won't think the pick was horrible. It also really disliked Josh Palmer (WHO?) in the 2nd. It did find Khalil Herbert to be worth about a penny more than you paid for him, which was apparently the best you did this year.
14. Foos (F)
Foos, Foos, Foos. From first to worst, amirite? The ANALyzer actually loved your Freiermuth value at 2.14, although I have no idea why, and it also liked your Surtain value in the 4th (also no idea why). This should tell you how much it despised your picks of Michael Carter and Zack Wilson in the first round. Two Jets? HAHAHAHA! Have fun with that. Interestingly it really did not like your pick of Sermon at 2.02 which I actually thought was solid. Also, an NFL 2nd round DT in the 3rd? WTH? Probably could/should have gotten him in the 6th or so. Also d**n there were a lot of uses of the letter F here.
That's all for this one. Hopefully at least one of you enjoyed at least some part of this ludicrous write-up.
